2. Odor: No unpleasant odor during heating at 100°C.
3. Specific gravity at 15/15°C: Not less than 1.262.
4. Concentration: Not less than 98.5%.
5. Acidity: Not more than 3 cm³ (0.1 N NaOH/100 cm³ glycerin).
6. Saponification equivalent (as Na:O): Not more than 0.035%.
7. Reducing material: Traces.
8. Ash content: Not more than 0.05%.
9. Chlorides: Traces.
10. Water content (by Karl Fischer): Not more than 1%.
11. Color with concentrated sulfuric acid: Only allowed from yellow to pale brown.
